2200 WALNUT STREET

This building was recently aquired by a real estate development company that went a step beyond making it ready to rent. The ornate wood carvings, metal work and stained glass were carefully restored, new eco-friendly carpet was installed through out, and new tile, paint and wall paper was selected to compliment the historic character of the building.

Besides the cosmetic improvements, system and overall building performance was addressed. A group of graduate students from Philadelphia University Sustainable Design Program conducted a detailed system analysis, and Green Homeworks was hired to perform some of the improvements. We insulated the attic space with recycled cellulose blown-in insulation, applied reflective coating to the roof, replaced some of the incandescent light bulbs with compact fluorescent, installed missing air return filters and sealed off some of the duct work in the attic.

One floor in this recently renovated historic building is still available for lease. If you would like to have your office within walking distance from the 30th Street Station and City Hall, contact ReMax Cityspace at 215.625.3650 with all inquiries.
